You Tube

G'day. If you'd like to know or see just a little bit more of my Aussie Bush Poetry then why not check out 'Echuca Bush Poet' on You Tube?

We spent a little bit of time earlier this week recording in parts of Echuca's Victoria Park, right next to the mighty Murray River - and the out-takes are such a lot of fun. It's a shame you won't get to see them...

Imagine spending the time needed to find just the right log on the perfect part of the river bank, looking around and almost drinking in the peacefulness - the serenity (Aussies will recognise that comment) and then getting ready to film. Would you like to try and guess what happened next?

The river sprang into life with passing jet skis, motor boats, paddle steamers, skiers, and other assorted river traffic.

Just to keep up, the bush tracks came to life with walkers, joggers - look carefully and you'll see him - cyclists, passing traffic and dog walkers. Not only were we amused, the local kookaburras seemed to think this was hilarious as they chuckled away at us for ages.

Moving away from the river bank into the bush was just as entertaining. You'll hear my very patient film crew moving around just a little bit on the dead grass. What a shame it was the wrong time of day for the roos, emus and antechinus.

Doing Australian Bush Poetry in the Australian Bush is one of the most wonderful experiences anyone could ever have. Don't take my word for it, get out in the bush yourself, this is the perfect time of year to go and stand under a gum tree and recite a bit of Banjo. You and the wildlife will love it!

Cheerio for now, Nerelie
