Holiday time ...

How nice it is to wake up when you're ready instead of being woken by the shrilling of the early morning alarm and the workday week.

How nice to wake up to sunlight streaming through the windows and the magpies singing or - as I did earlier this week - a kookaburra greeting the day with his happy song. Sure beats the sound of the early morning alarm!

And how nice it was to return to Glanville Village and present a Bush Poetry Performance for residents as I did earlier this week. To spend just a little bit of time with some of our community's older residents and share memories and the enjoyment that some of Australia's best known poetry offers really is a privilege and one of my most cherished holiday activities. See you again soon!

Cheerio for now, Nerelie
