G'day

Welcome to "Not Clancy's Blog", my new Aussie Bush Poetry Blog.  This is where I'll keep you up-to-date about what's going on in my little part of the Aussie Bush Poetry World.

"Not Clancy's Blog" comes to you from Echuca - Moama on (almost) the banks of the mighty Murray River, Australia's longest river and the beautiful natural border between Victoria and New South Wales.

So, what's happening in this part of the Aussie Bush Poetry world?

There's a couple of great things about to take place in the next fortnight or so.

The inaugural Echuca Arts Festival will take place later this month. This will be a great day of fun, activity and entertainment for everyone.

And I'll be there! Not only will I be wandering around taking in all the fun and festivities, I'll also be taking a small part in the day's program.
Why not come along and join in my Australian Bush Poetry Writers' Workshop where we'll look at some of the basic skills involved in writing original Aussie Bush Poetry.

This is planned as a lot of fun for everyone when we'll all be playing with words - speaking them and writing them and putting some of them together in your own original verse. You'll even be able to publish your poetry from the workshop on this blog if you'd like to do that.

Later in the day everyone's welcome to come along to my Aussie Bush Poetry performance where you'll hear some of my original verse and a few of Banjo's best known poetry as well.

With a little bit of luck, my new book of original Australian Bush Verse 'Wattle 'n' Wanderings' will be ready for sale.

I hope to see you there. Please come up and say 'G'day', you'll find me easily enough. Just look for the campfire and the Barmah Bush Hat.

Cheers for now,

Nerelie
