Echuca's New Library

G'day Everyone

"Get yourselves a Library Card, it won't cost a cent coz it's free ..."

That's the first line of the new poem that I presented at my Aussie Bush Poetry performances in our new library yesterday afternoon.

And what a celebration it was. Face painting, sausage sizzle, singers, book lovers browsing shelves and borrowing, balloons - some even bursting with excitement, 'Friends of the Library' and volunteers kept busy here, there and everywhere, and a bush poet next to the campfire.

Our new Library is a wonderful facility for the Echuca community and it's going to be so very easy to spend time in the Library sitting at the fantastic window seats with a good book, a great magazine or  just looking at the view. With the current high water in The Murray River it's easy to see paddle steamers and other vessels cruising along the waterway.

Thank you to everyone who asked me to sign their copies of 'Wattle 'n' Wanderings', it was lovely to have my photo taken with you.

Cheerio for now,

Nerelie
